Required disclosures
Funds safeguarding
Customer US dollar balances are held in pooled custodial accounts at our partner bank, segregated from HitchPay's own operating funds, and are eligible for FDIC insurance up to $250,000 per depositor. HitchPay Technologies Inc. is not itself a bank. We do not lend customer funds or pay interest on them.
Local-currency balances
Balances held in non-USD wallets sit with licensed partners in their respective markets and are segregated from company funds. They are not FDIC-insured, because FDIC insurance applies to US dollar deposits at US institutions only.
Your right to cancel
Under federal remittance transfer rules (Regulation E, Subpart B) you may cancel a transfer within 30 minutes of payment for a full refund at no cost, provided the funds have not been picked up or deposited. Payvio extends this: you may cancel free of charge at any time before payout.
Error resolution
If you believe there has been an error, notify us within 180 days of the promised delivery date. We will investigate and report back within 90 days. If we find an error we will refund the fees and the transfer amount, or resend at no charge, as you prefer.
